Together, our workshops and app create a holistic support system that empowers students to take care of their mental health on a day-to day basis so they are able to excel academically and achieve their full potential. Check out below how our services can help you improve the success of your school and improve Ofsted grades:

Enhancing Pupils’ Mental Health and Wellbeing

In today's fast-paced world, the mental health and wellbeing of students have become paramount. Our workshops and app are designed to significantly improve pupils' mental health and wellbeing. Promoting the mental health of pupils has been shown to improve educational outcomes (Public Health England, 2014). We will address a wide number of topics which could help students to find it easier to concentrate, absorb new information during class, and most importantly enhance their overall wellbeing. Our work equips pupils with essential resources and knowledge to cope with stress and self-regulate.

Potential Impact on Attendance

We understand the profound impact mental health issues can have on pupils' attendance as evidenced in ‘School attendance and mental wellbeing’ (Anna Freud, 2024). Our workshops can be an integral part of a strategy to enhance pupils' mental health, thereby possibly supporting the school with improving attendance rates. Schools can showcase that they are proactively working to support pupils to achieve higher attendance rates by utilising our services, highlighting the commitment to doing everything reasonably possible to support student wellbeing.

(Disclaimer: Although we currently have no evidence to guarantee your school will definitely see an increase in attendance rates, we are currently researching our workshops impact on this and believe by improving mental health of pupils. it has potential to aid in increasing attendance rates.)

Preparing Pupils for Public Life

Using our services, schools can evidence their dedication to developing pupils into well-rounded individuals prepared for public life. Good mental health equips students with the knowledge to lead successful lives post-education. Pupils who go on to struggle with mental health are often at a disadvantage in maintaining employment or continuing education (Public Health England, 2018). Our workshops help mitigate these challenges.

Addressing Behavioural Issues

As evidenced in the ‘Behaviour and Mental Health in Schools inquiry’ (The Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition, 2023), Mental health, trauma, and related issues can significantly influence student behaviour. Incorporating our workshops into your school's plan demonstrates a dedicated effort to foster a positive school environment. Pupils will feel genuinely cared for which will positively impact on their behaviours and attitudes.

Fostering Mutual Respect and Reducing Stigma

Our workshops deepen pupils' understanding of mental health, fostering mutual respect and reducing stigma towards peers with mental health difficulties. This initiative is crucial in combating bullying and promoting an inclusive environment. By educating pupils about one of the protected characteristics, disability, you demonstrate active efforts to create a non-discriminatory and supportive school atmosphere.

Supporting All Pupils

Ofsted inspectors evaluate the experience of particular groups, such as pupils for whom referrals have been made to local authorities, SEND pupils, looked-after children, and those with medical or mental health needs. Higher rates of poor mental health are often more prevalent in these groups (Department for Education, 2018; Department for Education 2015). Our workshops show your commitment to supporting all pupils, potentially enhancing their overall school experience.

Personal Development

Inspectors look for evidence of intent to provide for the personal development of all pupils. Our comprehensive workshops cover a broad spectrum of topics that develop pupils' confidence, resilience, and knowledge. They learn to maintain mental health, recognise well-being risks, understand the dangers of inappropriate mobile technology and social media use, and gain insights into healthy relationships. These skills support readiness for the next education phase, ensuring a smooth transition to further education, training, or key areas of employment which Ofsted focuses on.

Supporting Staff Wellbeing

Ofsted also assesses how staff wellbeing is supported. By teaching pupils vital mental health skills, we hope to reduce the burden on staff and minimise additional workload. With pupils self-regulating their mental health, staff can focus on their primary educational role, reducing stress levels and potentially decreasing staff sickness rates.

Ensuring Safety and Risk Management

As outlined in the statutory guidance "Keeping Children Safe in Education" (Department for Education, 2024), All schools are legally required to support the well-being of their students. This involves taking measures to ensure pupils health or development is not hindered to help every child achieve the best possible results. By equipping young people with the skills to manage their mental health, schools can show evidence of safeguarding practices and identify pupils at risk of harm, reinforcing a safe and caring school environment.
